The re-launched site uses the latest version of our Weblive Shop and the rest of the site content is managed using Weblive. It was essential to ensure that we achieved very high levels of accessibility given that many visitors will have a visual impairment - there is hardly an item of text that is not speaking browser readable and all such items can be enlarged using browser and website controls. | ||

Rugged functionality reflects the business HS Hire is in - plant and tool hire.
It was important that the website is as easy to use as the tools on hire - a practical website for practical people. But at the same time, the company operates in a very competitive market so the website needs to differentiate HS Hire from it competitors by reflecting the professionalism and friendliness of the business. To build the site we did all the photography during the late 2009 summer. We also imported product data from PDF via spreadsheets - and around this data we've built a content management system using Weblive, our in-house CMS.
